Basic information regarding Top Water: Popper for beginners. This draws A-LOT of attention from the fish. In the beginning, choose the sizes AND colors that mimic the bait-fish ( Not too big or Not too small AND colors like Bone, or shad, with little bit of Chartreuse) These color choices are effective in clear water & moderately stained/ slightly dirty water.

Line: Sunline Super Natural Monofilament. Depending on the weight & size of your popper, choose any where from 12 lb to 20 lb. I like 16 lb for the mid-range popper. We choose monofilament because it helps the bait to float in the water.
