Hooked a Giant PNW Bass on the Citizen 7… Then Disaster
This trip had all the makings of an epic day on the water. Within the first 20 minutes, I hooked into an absolute giant Pacific Northwest bass on my Working Class Zero Citizen 7 swimbait. The fight was on… but disaster struck. One bad hookset, one huge jump, and the fish of the day was gone.
From that moment, the chase was on. I rotated through every big-bass tactic I had — throwing a Spro Bronzeye 90 King Daddy frog across grass lines, punching heavy cover, and flipping for that one bite. But the Citizen 7 magic didn’t come back.
With time running out, I switched gears to a finesse drop shot setup and finally put a solid bass in the kayak to end the day.
