Bass Fishing New Melones Lake California 08 06 2025

Headed back up to Angles Creek at New Melones Lake for one more bass fishing adventure. The bite is still red hot. I hooked into about 24 and landed 19. No big ones got away this time. The best fish of the day was also the first fish on the first cast – doesn’t get much better than that. A 5 Lber on a fire craw bladed jig. It is hard to see in the video because it was 5 AM. I added a picture that shows the fish better. I am going to mix it up a bit for my next outing. I may head out to the delta. It has been a while since I last fished there. Just need to be careful not to transfer any Golden Mussels to other bodies of water.
