I also go over the recommended setup for throwing this bait, including rod, reel, and line suggestions. I personally use a 7’10” Heavy or Extra Heavy swimbait rod paired with a high gear ratio 300 or 400 size reel, and spool up with 100 lb braid—though 65 or 80 lb are also solid options depending on your preference and target species.
