In terms of total bass and in weight, Justin Lucas accounted for about 17% of the bass on SCORETRACKER® across the 30-angler field with his hefty haul of 22 bass weighing 65 pounds, 15 ounces – anchored by a 5-4 largemouth that he tied with Britt Myers for big bass of the day. Meanwhile, Myers is sitting precariously in eighth place with only a single scorable bass separating him from two anglers below the elimination line.

Heavy Hitters action continues tomorrow with Group A returning to Smith Mountain Lake for their second day of qualifying on the MLFNOW! livestream at MajorLeagueFishing.com and the MyOutdoorTV (MOTV) app. The livestream begins at 7:30 a.m. ET and continues to 4:30 p.m. through May 22.
