Fishing Lake Holt in Butner, NC from the Bass Boat

In this bass fishing video I am out fishing on a buddy’s bass boat. Lake Holt, formerly Lake Butner, is located in Butner, NC. It is a smaller lake at only 385 acres, but it is loaded with bass. My friend who own’s the Ranger Bass Boat we were fishing off of caught his first big bass here when he was 5 years old, it was a big 8lber!

We were hoping to get some big bass, however the biggest we got that day was a 4lber. We did catch a ton of smaller bass and a few 2-3lbers. We started by fishing texas rigs, shaky heads, and senkos, but as the day heated up we changed over to top water baits, like pop’rs / poppers and started slaying a lot of bass, almost every catch was filled with action. Unfortunately, my GoPro ran out of battery before that so all I have to share in this video is the first few fish we caught, which were by far the biggest of the day.
