BIG BASS DAY – Farm Pond Bass Monster!
In this bass fishing video I set out to get a big fish and hook a 6LB GIANT FARM POND BASS! I knew there were big bass in this farm pond, but I hadn’t caught one in a while. My fisherman neighbor friend mentioned he almost got one the day before. I was pumped to know how active they were getting.
I grabbed the rods I strung up what I thought would work best. I had on the baits that I’ve used for catching big bass in the past: swimbait, drop-shot, wacky worm, and top water.
Normally, I just start fishing anywhere because any fish is fun to catch. However, on this day I knew I wanted to catch only big bass. I went straight to the place where I heard a big fish lived. I took a few casts and realized I wasn’t going to get the lure to where I thought the fish was at from where I was standing. I started walking into the pond up to the top of my rubber boots. Getting in gave me extra distance on my cast, which was exactly what I needed. I adjusted my rod and after a few casts I hooked it on the line! As I set the hook I almost fell over because I was standing deep in mud. I took my time to pull the fish in and was extra careful not to break the line or let the tension come off.
When I got it close in the shallow water I jumped up and grabbed it! I I was so excited!
I was so excited that I was saying all kinds of funny fishing terms and phrases. I think the funniest thing said was, “It’s Big Bass Day! It’s Big Bass Day!” haha.
