April Jerkbait Bass Fishing on Lake Guntersville (Surprise Catch Behind the House!)

My brother, Mitch, came up to visit for the weekend. His son, Logan, is the shortstop for Mississippi College, and they were here in Huntsville for a 3 game series this weekend against UAH. We were able to get out on Guntersville for a few hours on the morning of Friday, April 11. We had post-frontal bluebird conditions that had the bass acting a little goofy. We couldn’t get any bites dragging a worm, but we were able to get a few reaction bites on a jerkbait….specifically the new @Rapala PXR Mavrik 110 in Bold Shad.

I also threw in Sunday afternoon surprise catch behind the house.
