Mike Gilbert, owner and founder, designed the battle shad back in 2016 to be a snagless style soft swimbait that could be fished a multitude of different ways. After the success of the original BS, he made the Citizen which is a cousin of the BS. After a few years, Mike started to hear the feedback of the baits and went to work on what we have now and what will be implemented from now on.
