Early Prespawn Spring Bass Fishing w/ Small Swimbait

This early spring has been tough and been slow on warming up. Decided to hit up a pond after for some quick bass fishing before go home. Water temp was 53 degrees, but the air temp was 72. Just a tad bit more and it’s prespawn for sure for the bass. Not sure why the crappies didn’t bite today but Caught most of my bass casting a small Gambler EZ TZ swimbait along the wind blown side of the ponds. Note that the surface water is the most warmest spot in early spring. The wind will blow the surface and carry the warm water, thus I have selected the wind blown side as the warm water will hit the shoreline and mix up and warm up more. I have noticed that these wind blown side had baby panfish, shad and other fishes.

Last fish caught was on a Bass Pro Shops Speed Shad.
