Flipping Tips for Lake Okeechobee

The Pro-V Bend Flipping Hook (TK133) is my new favorite flipping hook and works exceptionally well when flipping heavy cover on Lake Okeechobee and other Florida fisheries. On my last trip to Okeechobee, I paired the 4/0 TK133 with a 6-inch YUM Dinger and caught several really nice fish that got me all wrapped up in thick reeds but the hook hung on!

I had two different rods rigged with a 3/4oz weight and a 3/8oz weight. I used the heavier weight for when I was flipping way back into the reeds or extra thick patches. When flipping the outer edges, I’d pick up the 3/8oz weight.
