I worked on this fish for close to a month and after many heartbreaking misses, near hookups, and close encounters, I was able to convert! The MS Slammer has not only achieved legendary OG status, but it’s one of the most versatile baits ever created. Whether you’re waking, cranking, walking or employing the burn and pause, this bait flat out gets bit! If I had one swimbait to take to a desert island it would surely be this one. Consider implementing it into your arsenal.

Just for your viewing pleasure, I’ve also included a bonus 4lb monster pike-sized pickerel catch. She eviscerated a Scottsboro 6 inch soft swimbait in the grassflats and I thought I had another giant LMB on. I was incredibly surprised when I brought her close to shore!
