  1. You can't tell Randy anything! He has been there and don't it all better than you! Getting up early and being in the water at sunrise is one of the best feelings! I've caught some of the biggest limits the first hours of daylight! I fish daylight to dark! Everyone is starting to realize that most of what Randy talks about is all personal opinions! Even when he claims it's true, chances are it isn't! Randy is one of the most negative people to watch. He says one thing and then turns around and wants you to buy the tackle that he says no one buys anymore….. Mr.Clickbait!

  2. In the winter time when the water is COLD, even by just 1 degree or 2, bass will move to the warmer water very quickly. That observation is based on research done in large aquariums. On sunny calm days in winter fish will pull into the warmer water quickly. When the sun goes down or cloud cover blocks the suns warming effect, the fish pull back out quickly.

  3. This is not your first post on this subject. I hated getting up and launching at daylight. You said something before that made sense to me. In the early morning at low daylight, fish are scattered and harder to find. After the sun comes up, the bass are easier to find along shaded shorelines and grass beds amongst the structure. When I was getting up early I didn’t locate bass until 9 or 10:00am. Now I get to the lake at 9am and fish most of the afternoon. My catch rate has greatly improved.

  4. Morning isnt that good in FL, they like the wind and sun. The evening is far better in any FL venue than morning. I always joke the real fishing is about to start at the end of normal tournaments 330pm-dark. On the St. Johns they wont bite at night AT ALL or anytime that its dark. Only hit in daylight. The wind and sunlight produce a current triggering feeding.

  5. Dear Randy, I think you could improve your channel if you would drop the clickbait. By that I mean if you would have changed the title of this one too, after 40 years of fishing experience, I believe I can tell you the best time of day to fish. Don't lie just sell yourself. You're smart you're experienced and doggone people like you.

  6. I know you were specifically talking about fishing but if you’ve ever been on the lake when the sun comes up, stop fishing for a minute. Take the time to drink your coffee and watch and listen to the critters wake up and see the world come alive on the water. Once you soak in that experience you’ll understand that there is something greater. IMHO it’s the best time and place to be, EVER.

  7. Oh dammm, are you okay bud? You know your speaking to a worldwide audience. I am in the U.S.A and live in the North East. I couldn't believe what you said about the Summer mannn.. You are not even close to being correct as far as the Northern bassin is. I Know you have spent plenty of time up here to so.. Anybody can absolutely catch the biggest bass of their life casting topwater at night during the summer up here. You deff talking crazy!

  8. 🕊️🙌🏻I was homeless, got into drugs, went into prisons, then I got to know Jesus, He changed my life… Now I make 53k monthly. have a home, a wife, a lovely daughter… A child of God. HALLELUJAH!

  9. I prefer to have wind and the worst time for wind is early morning in my opinion most of the time it blows better during the day. I absolutely can't stand a slick lake.

  10. If everyone got a bubba scale and submitted the info we would have 10s of thousands of data points to record this info. That scale is worth every penny because it shows the time/area/weight/etc of every fish you catch.

  11. Your persistence is going to lead to Bass Fishing changing their rules. Kudos to you. I fought it, I enjoy my ffs but I can’t watch a tournament where it’s ffs dominant. Keep fighting the fight, you’ve won me over…. Especially after this classic.

  12. Doesn’t matter to me. I fish when I can. On the days I can fish, I will be there at first light until last light. What time I catch fish, if any, is irrelevant.

  13. I am a fairly new bass angler with a lot to learn – this is so helpful. I am going to listen to this several times! I really appreciate how you talk about water temp, wind, light penetration and shade. Also the “season” – very helpful! Thank you for sharing your lifetime of experience, I really appreciate it!

  14. Here are my facts: I fish lighted docks and points between 0300 and 0700. I catch at least one five pounder every time out. I catch between 10 to 20 bass nightly. I live in east Texas. I fish mainly late winter to January. Again this is just me. I beat the socks off of everyone I talk to. My average night would be a couple 5's, 3 four pounders, and 6 between two and three. A couple dinks. I fish two times a week. How does this compare to your 4 to 6 hours of fishing? My family and friends say I'm the fish whisper. You be the judge.

  15. On my lake, the only time you can catch fish all day is pre 50° water with 1.5 to 2.5 ft of visibility, with some wind on the water. It's a 40-acre lake in central Pennsylvania that just constantly gets pounded by anglers(the only one in the area for quite a few miles), and all my best over 5 lbs have come in the evening(but… totally weather conditions permitting)as the sun ducks behind the tree line…(Otherwise they are buried in vast expanses of weed that is everywhere in the lake) I think the bite definitely is controlled by how much pressure an impoundment gets. Although the 9.87 lber I caught last October came at high noon in 8-10 foot of visibility water, it was the only fish I caught that day. And all my big fish this year came when it was windy… 15 to 25 mi an hour. And regardless of season the best bite is always that last hour and a half of the day, regardless of water clarity. And as far as fishing at the crack of dawn, I am on the fence with this one… I've had some really good trips, ones where I've got nothing at all, and so so mornings… But you never know until you go😂… Thanks Randy, your knowledge is vast, but I definitely think it is a factor that is controlled by the fishing pressure a body of water gets at any time of the year.(With an exception to a bite window). You got a great show and I almost always agree with about 95% of what you say, you are only about 2 years older than me, and my two biggest fish this year correlated with exactly what you say. Love your show and don't ever stop😊!!!!!!!! I get laid off January through April just about every year at my chocolate job and I totally agree with "the heat of the day, winter fishing"🎣😄 if people actually stopped and took the time to listen to EXACTLY what you are saying, you would get so much less adversity… Because if you read the comments you'll see that they are barking up the wrong side of the tree😂😂!
