  1. I've just started sea fishibg today at age 46 ive always been a fresh water angler. But i moved to the coast 23 years ago. And decided to give sea fishing a go. As i love sea food. And will definitely take a nice size fish home for cooking. I didnt catch anything today though i was only fishing a couple of hours tried numerous lures but i think i need some more weighted lures. For casting distance.

  2. Excellent advice. I always worry about losing lures and probably top water too much. I should walk more at low tide. Thanks for all the great tips. 👍 Caught my only bass to date on a 4" sidewinder…

  3. Thanks Cal, for an informative and inspirational video. My aim is to catch my first Bass this year (NE Scotland). Looking forward to seeing future guides and I'll also check out the Podcast.

  4. Hi Cal.
I love the vids and I’m so happy to announce I had my first decent bass the other day. Though I’m considering buying some new gear, could you suggest a buffet set up for all conditions, rod real and braided line. .
Thanks allot for all the great info. Worth more than gold this..

  5. Hi mate. Here are the 5 piece of advice you gave for the beginners (not only)

    1) Lure choice (types & colours)

    2) Marks knowledge

    3) Weather and swell charts

    4) Local knowledge and social media updates

    5) Youtube 😉

  6. Have fished off and on much of my life (now a 70yr old but still thankfully fit and able) and have managed certain types of fish quite well but fishing for BASS has always been a desire and dream but has always eluded me excepting occasional “lucky” and accidental hits!
Videos and blogs like yours is JUST WHAT I HAVE NEEDED and I now see how ill prepared I was on my occasional Bass hunts!!
I now know why I often blanked and at least something of what to do now to correct my mistakes (I hope)…
You are a GodSend and I thank you sincerely!!
Please keep going with the tips and suggestions, they are well appreciated.

    Kind Regards.
    Steve.

  7. Thanks again Cal, knowledge is the key! Since our last conversation I have bit the bullet and got myself a wider selection of lures, gravity stick kit, a couple of IMA Sasukes and a surface Patchinco to add to my other, ever growing selection 😂. I am going to get the navionics app shortly when I have more time to study it, the relief shading option looks brilliant for scoping marks out, gullys and ground, boulder beds ect. Hoping this will help my trips on the boat or from the shore 👍
