Epic CHATTERBAIT fishing for bass requires the right choice of trailers. I think the best 3 lure trailers for bass are the fluke or Super Stud, Burner Craw, and the EZ Swimmer swimbait. These 3 bait trailers each give a unique presentation and lend themselves to a variation in technique and depend on the water color and amount of cover you’re fishing. In heavy cover and clearer water I like the Super Stud but for stained water and fishing more active fish I’ll go to the swimbait or Burner Craw which move more water when fishing lakes with more colored water. Don’t forget to watch the first part of this 2 part series where we go through each rod and reel setup along with fishing line type you need to fish a chatterbait in any situation.

Mikey, you are the chillest OG in the YouTube fishing game. I love your content and delivery, and your hat game is on point bro.
Mike, I'm new to bladed jigs and new to your channel. Thanks for all the great info. On my way to academy this morning to pick up some trailers for my new jigs to try them this weekend here in Texas. Thanks again and you keep making the videos and I'll keep watching…
The small little shout out about zip ties changed my life,it fixed a lot of broken stuff..lol I am with you on the fluke on trailing bladed jig's, that's pretty much all I use on them with an occasional double tail grub here and there.. awesome stuff man, keep up the good work
Really good video really enjoyed it thanks for your advice I ordered some gambler swim baits ππ
I don't think you have enough Rods…..
You canβt get gambler up here in Chicago
My 2 favorite trailers are 4-5" single tail grubs and a Rage Menace rigged with the flaps vertical instead of horizontal.
Thanks man I just got some flukes and a chatter bait today and thought they would work good together
Forget the words βdudeβ and βfrigginβ and you would have better video. Jus sayin.
You have a great personality man for that got a sub great video ππππππ
Yamamoto Zako on a Jackhammer, tail gets the right amount of kick.
So I am going to try a chatter bait this season for the first time. I am using a swim bait for the trailer, but it is the yum pulse. They have fins on the side of the bait to guide the bait down naturally. If I rig that upside down will the whole rig rise in the water?
Water is frozen were I live or I would just go out and try. Thanks Jon
New suppoter here. Nice vid.
Okeechobee boyzzzz
Try a BioSpawn finesse worm as a trailer. I tear them up with that little worm as a chatterbait trailer.
Real OG in the game catching 10 pounder on rage shad damn legend !!
4.8" Keitech upside down = money
Skirtless also is a killer
i caught a nine lber last wk with three and a half grass pig

Great info mikey!
Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper?? Any thoughts?
What pound braid you use Mike?? And what brand??
Micky!! I did what you said, Gambler EZ swimmer upside down, 3 pounder hammered it! Great vid!!!!
Terrific and entertaining comprehensive chatterbait vid! A must see for sure! Well done1
Keep up the great vidβs Mikey! Great chatter bait tips.
I wish I had some grass……… in the my lakes so I could fish a chatter bait more. lol
Good call on flipping the paddle tail upside down. Iβve been doing that for a couple years now. Definitely keeps the bait down in the water better.
A more subtle trailer that I use is a 3.5β Freeminnow by 412 Bait Co.
You can get them in the standard (buoyant) formula, or the TS (tournament/salty = slow sinking) formula.

My favorite trailer for just about any bait
great vid Mike–Thanks!!
Thanks for the advice cant wait to try it. Your neko rig tips made me a huge believer. Bitters 7inch salty sling in toho gold smoked them on kissimmee this year in april. Thanks for the vids bid keep it up!
Awesome info Mikey ππ»
The chatter bait is one of those weird baits that can make an inactive fish become active, even the right kind of worms on those things can be a killer presentation, thanks for the input !!!
The OG of YouTube googan-ery fish hammering! And drops the solid bass techniques. My dude
I agree 100% Mikey, your info is great πππππ
OG.
I'm so happy you're finally trying to grow your channel on purpose. Everyone should be subscribed
Awesome video dude. Sub #26,477 from me! Check me out when you get a chance π
We have a ton of ponds and lakes that has so much grass that it's unreal. Do you think a plasma tail from Biospawn would work on a chatterbait? I put a Biospawn vilecraw on my chatterbait and it caught me a 5ΒΎ but Texas rigged exostick in Okeechobee Craw caught me my PB…6.2 lbs. Love using a chatterbait and anything from Biospawn.
