That 30lb maxima is hard to get a good knot into. Any advice?

What do you use when using submergible flies light and heavy when fishing smallmouth bass in shallow clear rivers?
Do you ever use a small or medium leader rings
Do you use leader rings ( med/sm ) ?
Is this maxima clear or ultra green?
Pay is using Maxima, and there are a couple of options for Marxism. Which one? Clear, green, chameleon?
Which G.Loomis is that 7wt 9' but which model? Thanks
For the medium poppers you finish with 2' of 12lb but at the end what type of leader you use to tie the popper? Thanks great video
Perfect. Why can't all tutorial help videos be done this simple. Thanks Pat.
I was about to buy some boogle bugs on your website but unfortunately you guys are fresh out. Oh well I guess I'll have to wait.
I don’t see these prebuilt leaders on stock or the link isn’t working, any advice?
Thanks Pat. Good information.
Are you using Maxima Ultragreen or Chameleon?
Just came across this video, really appreciate the info. I've always fished for bass with traditional gear. As someone who is new to fly fishing for bass, why the need to taper the line down to 15lb, can you not tie the 15lb directly to the fly line?
I buy my leaders.
When you’re making your own bass leaders are you connecting them all with a double/ triple surgeons knot? Is that knot strong enough for bass?
Thanks Pat, appreciate the info.
I wish my ignorant ass had watched this earlier today. I was fishing a snook popper but using it for bass. Long story short, I just did’t have the right leader and tippet. I got broke off on a huge largemouth. I thought it was my knot but then in the middle of the rock out I see my fly floating, that bass spat it out! I waited patiently till the wind blew it back over an hour later. I’m going back after trying my own leader! There’s some giant bass in that pit and I don’t think they’re accustomed to seeing fly presentations. Thanks for this video. It helped so much.
Great video – thanks!! Would this same recipe work on a 6wt setup? Or would you lighten up the leader with 6wt?
Thanks again for all of the great videos you guys put out there!!
