  1. Just came across this video, really appreciate the info. I've always fished for bass with traditional gear. As someone who is new to fly fishing for bass, why the need to taper the line down to 15lb, can you not tie the 15lb directly to the fly line?

  2. I wish my ignorant ass had watched this earlier today. I was fishing a snook popper but using it for bass. Long story short, I just did’t have the right leader and tippet. I got broke off on a huge largemouth. I thought it was my knot but then in the middle of the rock out I see my fly floating, that bass spat it out! I waited patiently till the wind blew it back over an hour later. I’m going back after trying my own leader! There’s some giant bass in that pit and I don’t think they’re accustomed to seeing fly presentations. Thanks for this video. It helped so much.
