The cicadas have alot to do with the top water bite right now!! Me and my dad around 2008 or 2009 was lucky to fish when the cicadas were out heavy that year!!
We went and bought a few cicada shaped top water poppers and we absolutely slayed the bass!! As soon as the cicadas were gone we didn't have another bite off them!!! It was a crazy bite on Yatesville lake in Easter Kentucky!!
I was at The Forrest Wood Cup the year Justin Atkins edged out his roommate Brandon Cobb( Brandon had a broken leg), and top water was on 🔥🔥🔥🎣🍀🎣🔥🔥🔥 they were even throwing “donkey rigs” ( double flukes) and catching 2 at a time.😮🎉 and the lake just keeps getting better and better every year 💯🍀🎣🍀😜
