2 DEADLY Paddle Tails for COLD Water Fishing

In Today’s video we’re doing some big river bank fishing using two awesome little paddle tail swim baits. December in the Southeast can be a tricky time to fish ESPECIALLY when it comes to bigger rivers however with the two lures we’re going to be working today we should have no trouble getting on some beautiful fish!

With a goal of catching some large White Bass I’ve chosen two fairly light rods as well as two finesse paddle tails to get the job done. Both fair well in lightly stained water and current and both are excellent lures for White Bass as well as any species of fish willing to chase a smaller bait fish.

Following the fishing portion we’ll enter the “Breaking Down the Bait” segment of the video and take an in depth look at the lures and other tackle used in the video. We’ll cover the pros and cons of the lures as well as there weights and other specifications.

TLDR: Today we’re fishing for White Bass on a large river with 2 outstanding paddle tail swimbaits.

Hope you enjoy the video,
Andrew

  1. HookUp Tackle running 20% off on gift cards this week. Opportunity to get a discount on those spark shads that are normally excluded by Megabass from all sales… buy the gift card then buy the spark shads.

  2. Wait till your 60 and falling like that, it sucks LOL Nice session on those White Bass and looks like a fun battle with the bigger ones. You talked about them being good eating at a certain size, but have you tried those Herring? Awesome job!

  3. Downsizing to that 2" size paddle tail is the ticket in these colder water months and those Slabalicious baits catch fish and they are a great price, especially nowadays when everything has gotten so expensive. I just saw Discount Tackle has them on sale for $3.39 a bag but a bunch of colors are currently sold out. Nice catches, thank you for this video!!!

  4. Going to have a freezing temps this weekend here in NJ. Waters definitely going to look like that old time picture. I have to disagree with the comment about hitting the rocks when your younger hurts less. Im 60 and it still hurts as much as when i was 20!!
