  1. I can confirm what you are saying about the cold weather conditions here in the Houston area (OK it's not that cold here, but it's relative). I have been fishing the drop shot in the deeper water with a lot of success – depth is relative. My ponds are only 8 – 10 ft. deep at best. They don't hit very hard, though so you need to watch carefully or you will miss the bite. LOVE YOUR SHOWS. I've learned a lot from you. THANKS!!

  2. To anyone who cares:
I live in east texas which is a great area for bass fishing.
It's Christmas day today 2020 to give y'all some idea of time frame.
I have been trying different things and taking tricks and tips from youtube videos.
I have been fishing a pond because I do not have a boat.
It is true that these fish push up shallow and are slow and lazy in the winter season.
Catching bass on a windy or cloudy day in winter season is next to impossible.
So on sunny days is key, also cast near these grassy patches near the banks because they hiding In there.
I have only been able to catch them with senkos In general with a Texas rig, best color to use that I have had the most success on is the June bug color and also dark purple. FYI I am fishing dark waters, the key is darker colors.
Keep in mind that these fish are lazy and slow and not wanting to chase bait too much or too far. So fish it super super slow, wait for them to actually take the bait, then set the hook.
    I hope this helps someone.

  4. I don’t know if you will see this but I need help lol. I live in florida and fish ponds 90% of the time. Obviously Florida weather is weird. There is lots of thick moss on the bottoms. What do I throw besides soft plastics and chatterbaits? It’s a struggle lately
